Protecting Your Inbox Against Hackers

My business email account was recently hacked. A virus attacked many of my customers who opened the email that came from my account to theirs. How can I protect my email in the future?

Ouch! That had to hurt. Technology is one of those tools that can help us become more efficient and at the same time expose us if we don’t have the proper security in place. Consider these tips to protect your company’s data: • Hire a hacker. Or, in better terms, hire someone that understands how not to get hacked. Reach out to chambers of commerce or technology associations to identify companies that specialize in protecting other companies’ data. ​Due to the amount of data exchange online, you may want to consider incorporating a line item in your budget for security maintenance each month.
